Adopted in 1998, this program focuses on donation of AmTrykes, building of ramps to make homes wheelchair accessible, and setting up evaluation sites for therapists.

AmTrykes

Now, thanks to the AmTrykes Therapeutic Tricycle, even individuals who are unable to operate a traditional bike can finally realize this wonderful experience. These unique tricycles, which can be hand or foot operated are designed to accommodate riders of all ages, sizes, and varying degrees of physical limitation.

Both Physical and Occupational Therapists acknowledge the AmTryke tricycles’ many therapeutic benefits, citing improved motor skills, strength development, and self-esteem.

AmTryke Evaluation Sites

Are you a therapy facility or school interested in using AmTrykes as part of your therapy? Grapevine Heritage donates AmTrykes and accessories to facilities/schools who agree to use AmTrykes with their clients during therapy. This allows individuals to be evaluated by a licensed therapist to ensure appropriate equipment and size.

Ramp Building

Building ramps to create accessible homes and businesses is another project which AMBUCS chapters hold close to their hearts.
